The European biodiesel Industry was born from a political ambition that remains ready to serve: to develop an EU-made green fuel to improve EU energy security by reducing diesel imports, contributing to climate change mitigation, building the circular bioeconomy, and strengthening the independence and revenue of European farmers. To this end, we recently contributed to the European Commission (EC) 2040 EU Climate Target Consultation, outlining our industry key recommendations and core principles, and explaining the critical role of the European biodiesel sector within the EU decarbonisation efforts.
