Change and continuity in the leadership of the European Biodiesel Board
On September 8 2020, the EBB General Assembly has renewed its confidence in Ms. Kristell Guizouarn, and elected her for a second term as EBB President, together with ten other fellow members of the Executive Board for the period 2020-2022. The EBB General Assembly also confirmed the appointment of Mr. Xavier Noyon as new EBB Secretary General.

Biodiesel has a key role to play in the decarbonisation of the energy mix in Europe, and we are eager to contribute to a more ambitious EU GHG emission cut, to be announced by the European Commission President von der Leyen in her State of the Union 2020”, said the newly elected EBB President.
“The European Green Deal and the Renewable Energy Directive can be formidable drivers for the growth of biodiesel. However, we must ensure that the related debate on sustainability criteria is science based and involves all that the our industry is heard. We absolutely need stable framework conditions for investments, innovation and growth in the biodiesel industry”, declared the newly appointed Secretary General.Xavier Noyon
Xavier a French citizen holds masters in both law and public affairs from France and Germany. Prior to joining EBB, Xavier held the position of Secretary General in another organisation in the renewable energy field. Most recently, he has created the EU office of PEFC International the global certification for sustainable forest management and traceability.
