The European Biodiesel Board concluded on the 4th of June its 2026 General Assembly in Brussels. On this occasion, it was time for the EBB membership to renew its Board of Directors and elect a new EBB President. The EBB General Assembly also approved the enlargement of the Board to 13 members, allowing EBB to further improve its governance.
Electing a new EBB President
The General Assembly has elected Fredrik Ahlsén Berg (ADM) as its new President for the next two years. Frederik has served as an EBB Board since 2022. Based in Geneva, Switzerland, he is currently a General Manager at ADM and brings experience from previous roles at ADM and before that OLENEX SARL.
The EBB extends its deepest gratitude to Dickon Posnett as he steps down from his role, having successfully served his maximum term, limit of two consecutive two-year terms as President. Throughout his tenure, Dickon provided exceptional leadership, steering the European biodiesel sector through a period of critical legislative shifts and market evolution. His steady guidance, commitment to industry integrity, and tireless advocacy have been instrumental in reinforcing the EBB’s position as a driving force in the EU's renewable energy transition.

Seminar and Cocktail

The sessions, hosted by EBB President Dickon Posnett, featured two panels – one featuring Executive agencies, Verification Schemes and Certifiers – and one with producers and other economic operators.
The EBB also hosted a dinner and cocktails evening, inviting its members and externals. We were pleased to welcome Ambassador Marco Canaparo, Deputy Permanent Representative and Ambassador to the Permanent Representation of Italy to the EU, as well as MEP Dario Nardella (S&D, Italy). The secretariat would like to thank Ambassador Canaparo and MEP Nardella for their remarks, and continued support to the European biodiesel industry.
