The role of sustainable biomass in decarbonising transport and achieving climate neutrality: Brussels, 13 January 2026
We are pleased to invite you to the high-level event “The Role of Sustainable Biomass in Decarbonising Transport and Achieving Climate Neutrality”, taking place on Tuesday, 13 January 2026, co-organised by EBB and FuelsEurope and hosted by MEP Dario Nardella (S&D), coordinator in the AGRI Committee of the European Parliament. As Europe accelerates its path toward climate neutrality, the discussion will explore the strategic role of sustainable biomass and waste-based feedstocks in delivering renewable fuels across all transport modes. The event will gather experts and leaders from agriculture, industry, science, civil society, and EU institutions to examine biomass availability, the regulatory landscape, and the need for long-term policy stability to support investment, industrial scale-up, and competitive European value chains. This exchange will also highlight opportunities for rural development, circular economy solutions, energy security, and industrial competitiveness. Location: The European Parliament building in Brussels. Registration is mandatory. Date: Tuesday, 13 January 2026, from 11:00 to 13:00, followed by a walking lunch. [AGENDA & REGISTRATION] (free)
